Co-op has teamed up with Yeep to boost its parcel locker services for customers.
The convenience retailer will install the lockers at 30 stores initially, with plans to roll out more during 2025.
Trial stores include Bletchley in Buckinghamshire, Castle Douglas in Dumfries & Galloway, and Stanton Hill in Nottinghamshire.
Co-op said the new partnership was designed to meet the evolving needs of busy shoppers, by enabling them to better manage deliveries, save time and cut last-mile emissions.
“Partnering with Yeep enables Co-op to further expand its network of safe, secure and convenient parcel lockers,” said Co-op head of quick commerce development George Hayworth.
“The parcel lockers form part of Co-op’s approach to develop added services and enhanced convenience – creating a compelling customer offer to ensure our stores are a convenient destination not only for groceries but for a range of services that meet the needs of local communities.
“Helping local residents, commuters and time-pressed consumers pick up or return parcels at a time that suits them, quickly, easily and conveniently.”
Yeep CEO and co-founder Noël Shapton said: “I am delighted that Yeep is partnering with Co-op, helping to expand its community-based parcel locker network, and offering shoppers more flexibility in how they send and receive their parcels.
“This partnership allows us to continue our mission of providing eco-friendly, convenient, and secure 24/7 parcel lockers to communities across the UK.”
Co-op also works with Quadient and InPost for its parcel locker network.
