The Co-operative Group looks set to push its seasonal credentials with a new campaign.
The society has applied to trademark the phrase 'the co-operative taste the seasons'. A logo has also been submitted with a beige background and 'the co-operative' written in brown and 'taste the seasons' written in green.
It has been trademarked under 10 classes, which would allow for its use across categories including grocery, health & beauty and beer, wine and spirits.
The Co-op Group refused to comment on the application.
Meanwhile, the society launched a gourmet meals range called Eat In this week. It includes Scottish salmon in a watercress and béchamel sauce with soft cheese, Chardonnay and shallots; and British beefburgers with a pepper melt.
