Coca-Cola has confirmed the return of Coca-Cola Lime and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Lime to its lineup in Great Britain.
Coca-Cola Lime was previously launched by the soft drinks behemoth in 2005 but discontinued in 2007. The zero-sugar version continued to be sold until it was also shelved in 2018.
However, the flavour has now been brought back by Coca-Cola supplier Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) in in 330ml, 500ml, 1.75L and 8x330ml formats.
Zero Sugar Lime, meanwhile, has returned in 500ml, 2L & 8x330ml formats. It is being sold exclusively to Tesco Group customers until the end of March, when it will be made available to all major retailers.
Coca-Cola Lime will sit alongside flavours such as Coca-Cola Lemon, Coca-Cola Cherry and Coca-Cola Vanilla in the brand’s flavoured cola portfolio, which was relaunched last year with new packaging.
“Following the hugely popular relaunch of new flavours last year, we’re excited to continue to expand our flavours portfolio with the launch of Coca-Cola Lime,” said Coca-Cola senior brand manager Charlotte Walsham. “Fans of Coca-Cola will be able to enjoy their favourite original taste, now with a refreshing tangy citrus twist.”
CCEP cited growing demand for flavoured colas as a rationale for bringing back Coca-Cola Lemon last February.
