Workers at a Coca-Cola Enterprises bottling and distribution centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, have started a 48-hour strike over pay.
The plant produces up to 6,000 cans and 1,650 bottles of soft drink a minute and the strike, which started yesterday, would have a "devastating effect" on supplies, union officials said.
Workers at a second site in Milton Keynes also started a 24-hour strike this morning.
