Premium cheese brand Collier’s is looking to capitalise on the protein snacking boom with new individual portions of its Powerful Welsh Cheddar.
Colliers Miners will roll out in major retailers next month (rsp: £1.69/6x25g), with the launch of the cheese snack supported by PR and in-store marketing activity.
“Colliers Miners are the perfect size to satisfy a cheese craving at any time of the day, giving a protein hit as well as a delicious snack,” said Nick Hilton, MD of brand-owner Fayrefields Foods. ”Suitable for handbags, lunchboxes, car journeys or even pockets; the taste of Colliers can now be enjoyed on the go, out of home or in the office”.
Collier’s Powerful Welsh Cheddar is produced at a single creamery in Llandyrnog in North Wales.
It is matured for up to 20 months to for a “uniquely powerful” taste, with a crumbly, creamy texture and “crunchy bits” from the calcium lactate grains that develop during maturation. It is then selected by one of three people permitted to grade Collier’s cheese.
The Collier’s range also includes Welsh butter, Real Rarebit Crisps, sliced and grated Cheddar and a new ale.
