Concha y Toro is extending its millennial-focused wine brand Frontera with the addition of its first sparkling variant.
Frontera Fizz (11% abv) is poised to launch into mainstream convenience from early August, with an eye to widening distribution into supermarkets (rsp: £8.50/75cl).
The wine is made from Chilean muscat grapes, and would capitalise on “the ongoing growth of the sparkling trend, which has been driven by millennials”, said Frontera brand manager Georgina Rogers.
It comes after Concha y Toro added Private Reserve variants of its Casillero Del Diablo and Trivento brands. They are available exclusively in Tesco, both with an abv of 13.5% (rsp: £10).
