Cornerways Nursery, a major supplier of fresh tomatoes to the mults, is on track to up its production by 75% after officially opening a seven-hectare extension to its glasshouse.
The extension, which was opened by South West Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss last Friday, will see Cornerways increase production from 80 million to 140 million tomatoes a year.
Cornerways is owned by British Sugar and uses water from the combined heat and power plant at its parent company's Wissington factory.
