Costco has reassured UK customers it is still selling Coca-Cola products after its US parent company delisted some of the drinks giant's products this week following a pricing row.
"We are still trading with Coca-Cola in the UK and it's business as normal for us," UK MD Steve Pappas told The Grocer, adding that products were still available in Costco's 21 depots across the UK.
In the US, Costco Wholesale Corporation has stopped restocking many lines, including Coke Classic, Sprite and Dasani, after accusing Coca-Cola of failing to give it competitive prices.
The wholesaler has posted a message on its website that states: "Costco is committed to carrying name brand merchandise at the best possible prices. At this time, Coca-Cola has not provided Costco with competitive pricing so that we may pass along the value our members deserve."
