Sainsbury has promoted Finn Cottle from head of dairy trading to head of fresh foods product development, as it fights for market share in the key convenience category.
Her role includes responsibility for Sainsbury’s regional foods offer and she starts her new job at the beginning of April, reporting to Jean-Paul Barat, Sainsbury director of innovation.
Cottle joined the multiple in 1987 after working for Taylor Woodrow for two years in marketing roles.
During her career at Sainsbury she has worked in a variety of trading roles covering non-foods, fresh foods and procurement. This included a year’s secondment at Newmarket Foods as head of buying. Cottle will be replaced by Jon Arnold who is currently trading manager for dairy buying, a post he has held for more than two years. Arnold will report to Ian Merton, trading director for fresh foods.
