Tesco stores in Kent have started taking delivery of the county's 2010 new potatoes from The Kent Potato Company.
This year is the 12th year the company has supplied Tesco through its local sourcing policy.
The popularity of new potatoes continued to grow, said Eddie Knowles, sales and marketing manager at The Kent Potato Company, and they had a loyal following among Kent customers.
The potatoes, which went into stores this week, are sold in 2.5kg packs (rsp: £1.87), while baby new potatoes are available in 1kg packs (rsp: £1.37).
