Caxton Wines is increasing the number of reds in its Jacob's Creek range to four with the addition of a Merlot.
The wine, which went on show for the first time at the tasting, has the same retail price £5.99 as the Cabernet Sauvignon introduced to the range last year. The Merlot will be available to the trade in April. The launch is designed to give Jacob's Creek a credible red range. The company is also introducing two new premium reserve wines, a Shiraz (£8.99), now listed by Wine Rack and a Chardonnay (£7.99) which Safeway is stocking.
