Crookes Healthcare is bidding to warm up its Nurofen range with a new back-soothing brand extension.
Nurofen Back Pain Heat Patches contain minerals that heat up when exposed to the air and deliver up to eight hours of deep heat relief.
The self-adhesive newcomer has been designed to ease a range of injuries and aches, including sporting strains, recurring backache and stiff muscles that have been caused
by a bad night’s sleep. Available in packs of two, the patches can be bought without a prescription at an rsp of £4.50. The launch will be supported by a £2.5m marketing campaign to include TV and outdoor advertising, online activity and the distribution of free patches.
Brand manager Adam Price said: “We have carefully researched the causes, symptoms and impact of back pain in the UK and realise that it is both common and debilitating. These new Heat Patches are part of a new range of products aimed at treating back pain and other aches.”
