Upmarket italian brand Crosta & Mollica is boosting its dessert range.
The brand has unveiled a Mascarpone Cream & Marsala Tiramisu, which will roll into Waitrose from 20 April (rsp: £4.50).
The NPD was “crafted using a traditional Italian recipe and authentic ingredients”, said Crosta & Mollica.
The dessert comprises three Savoiardi biscuits, which are soaked by hand in an espresso coffee and marsala wine syrup.
The biscuits are layered with whipped cream made with mascarpone and eggs, and finished with dark cocoa.
They will roll out in fully recyclable cardboard boxes with plastic trays, and must be defrosted before serving.
The brand made its debut in supermarket freezers in late 2021 with a range of frozen Tartufi truffles.
