An official Poppy Appeal cupcake is being rolled out in October by Ticco Foods.

The company, which supplies products including gelato to foodservice customers, has worked with the Royal British Legion to launch the vanilla-iced, jam-filled cakes (rsp: £1.99 for two).

They will be on sale from 22 October to 11 November, with 16p from the sale of each pack being donated to the Poppy Appeal.

“We hope the cakes will give the public the chance to sit down with someone special for an old-fashioned catch-up, while raising much-needed funds for the appeal,” said The Royal British Legion head of corporate trading Samantha Horvath.
