Dairylea is set to launch a new range of snacking products, combining Oreos and chocolate cookies with crackers and cheese.
Dairylea Snackers Mini Oreo and Dairylea Snackers Mini Chocolate Cookies are set to launch later this month, each with an rsp of £1.65.
The Mondelez-owned brand intended to bring excitement to consumers and capitalise on growth in snacks, a category worth £42.6bn in the year to June 2017 [Kantar MAT to w/e 18.06.17], it said.
Snackers would be marketed as the “perfect on-the-go all-round snack” for lunches or after-school treats, with the launch supported by a £1.3m marketing campaign including digital and in-store signage.
Senior brand manager for Dairylea Rebecca Prout said: “We believe that combining Dairylea cheese with two popular biscuit flavours will help unlock further sales in savoury snacking.
“Innovation in snacking kits is a clear growth opportunity as the UK Snacks market is out-performing the rest of the food and beverage market.”
