Danish Crown is to open a London sales office to support its push into the UK premium beef sector.

Located in Smithfield Market, it will complement the meat giant’s UK HQ in Manchester.

It follows its announcement last December of a move to supply large volumes of premium German and Danish beef to the UK.

“We have been aiming for the quality end of the market primarily,” said sales director Carl Beardshall.
