Luxury ice cream manufacturer Dann’s Ice Cream is expanding its product range and widening its distribution after securing a five-figure bank loan.
The Norfolk-based brand, run by Simon Dann from Pound Farm in Dereham, is developing new products, including sorbets, lollies and diabetic-friendly ice cream, with support from HSBC.
Dann’s ice cream and lollies supplies a number of sites across Norfolk, including retail, wholesale, cafes, delicatessens, farm shops, gastro pubs, restaurants and ice cream parlours.
The family run business produces all the hand-made ice cream using the farm’s 400 Holstein-Fresian cows, with milk from the herd used for the freshly frozen ice cream within an hour.
“We’re thrilled to be able to expand our range with exciting new flavours and widening our distribution across East Anglia,” Dann said.
“HSBC’s support has enabled us to focus on growing our business and the bank’s agricultural expertise has been invaluable in helping us on this next step.”
Dann’s Ice Cream recently switched from its previous bank to HSBC following the bank’s support of 20 local producers, including Dann’s, at the Royal Norfolk Show.
As well as providing ice cream to a range of outlets in Norfolk, Dann’s Ice Cream also provides ice cream cart hire for weddings, parties and events. The Dann family have farmed over 700 acres in the village of North Tuddenham for four generations.
