Danone Waters is expanding its Volvic Touch of Fruit range with a third sugar-free variant, orange.
Available now in 500ml (rsp: 80p) and 1.5-litre (rsp: £1) bottles, it joins existing sugar-free flavours lemon & lime and strawberry.
“We know orange is a huge flavour in the UK, and this delicious drink is a great addition to the Volvic Touch of Fruit range,” said the brand’s senior brand manager, Tom Hickton.
The standard Touch of Fruit range, which is available in strawberry, lemon & lime, orange & peach, summer fruits, cherry and tropical variants, contains about 12g of sugar per 250ml serving - which compares with 27g in the same amount of Coca-Cola and 25g in the same amount of fresh orange juice.
Volvic is the UK’s leading bottled water brand, with sales this year up 5.7% to £171.6m [Nielsen 52 w/e 24 October 2015]. The category has added £82.1m of sales, reaching £959.9m in total.
