Budweiser Brewing Group has appointed Daria Kuznetsova as its commercial controller of off-trade wholesale for the UK&I.
Kuznetsova would focus on “delivering growth through digital transformation and premiumisation, working closely with wholesalers and retailers” in the role, said Budweiser.
She joins from her current role as sales manager for AB InBev UAE and report into Jessica Markowski, sales director of convenience & wholesale.
Kuznetsova said she was “delighted” to join the company, adding that 2021 was a “big year for beer”.
The “upcoming summer of sport” would create opportunities for retailers, said Kuznetsova.
“I look forward to applying my global experience to this market, helping customers to capitalise on these opportunities and navigate the challenges the post-pandemic landscape presents,” she added.
Markowski said Kuznetsova’s 12 years of experience working in trade and marketing roles made her an “outstanding addition to the team”.
“She is the ideal person to continue to take our wholesale channel from strength to strength and I am very much looking forward to working with her”, Markowski added.
Kuznetsova replaces Amanda Coverdale, who has been promoted to Budweiser’s newly created role of country lead for Ireland.
The move comes as the company was looking to strengthen its position in Ireland, it said.
In March, Budweiser unveiled plans to invest more than £115m in its UK breweries, increasing capacity and creating 55 new jobs.
The investment in its breweries in South Wales and Lancashire would “drive economic prosperity across the UK”, it said.
