Kepak Group - makers of snacking brands Rustlers, Ugo's and Speedy Snacks - has completed a recent management reshuffle with the appointment of Angela Daulby.

Daulby joins Kepak, the biggest player in the £100m hot snacks market, as business unit controller for the convenience channel, with the brief of increasing its presence in the sector. She joins from Kellogg's where she was a national account manager for five years.

Daulby will report to Aoife Kenny, who has just taken up the role of business development director for the company, with responsibility for maintaining the growth of Kepak convenience foods in all retail channels, as well as overseeing category development. Kenny was previously a commercial manager for the business.

"Kepak's restructured commercial team will enable the company to accelerate the growth of the hot snacking category from its current position of strength," said CEO Peter Jackson. "Hot snacking is a major profit opportunity for convenience retailers."

The new team will be faced with pushing the business's on-the-go portfolio, recently extended with the Ugo's range, which was designed to extend the market with a higher price point and a female-targeted campaign.

Kepak faces invigorated competition in the food-to-go category after a management reshuffle at rival Adelie Group, which in May appointed a new CEO and restructured its business units to focus solely on the food-to-go market targeted by Kepak's convenience food division.
