Sausage brand Debbie & Andrew’s has launched its first ever free-range line-up and secured a listing for the premium range with the fledgling Amazon Fresh.
The ABP-owned brand’s Perfectly Free Range selection consists of a Cumberland Sausage; a Lincolnshire sausage; and a Pork Sausage and Pork Chipolatas. It went on sale with the web retail giant this week (rsps: £2.96 to £3.49).
The sausages were made in small batches using the “finest cuts” of RSPCA Assured pork from free-range pigs that had spent their entire lives outdoors, said Debbie & Andrew’s MD Ian Bagnall, and were also wheat, gluten and dairy-free.
“This is the natural next step for us,” Bagnall added. “Whilst we have always supported British farmers, this new range allows us to recognise those who go the extra mile for their animals and provide them with plenty of space, fresh air and room to roam.”
The sausages are available to Prime members across Central and East London as part of the Amazon Fresh trial launch, and are expected to be picked up by the mults over the next six months, Bagnall said.
