Canned fruit giant Del Monte has teamed up with British number one men’s singles tennis star Cameron Norrie for a new marketing partnership.

As part of the tie-up, Norrie will participate in a series of promotional activities including national consumer media interviews and a social media campaign.

The partnership aims to promote the positive benefits of incorporating canned fruit into an active lifestyle and healthy diet, alongside supporting Del Monte’s ongoing sponsorship of the Lawn Tennis Association.

The social media campaign will include a competition on Del Monte’s Instagram and Facebook where someone can win two LTA tournament tickets, a supply of Del Monte products and a meet and greet with world number 11 Norrie.

“I have always been keen on eating all types of healthy and delicious fruit,” said Norrie, who won his fourth ATP title and first on clay at the Lyon Open last week and is now in Paris for the French Open.

“I really enjoy cooking and sharing meals at home whenever I can. However, traveling around the world and long hours of practising also requires me to be able to find quick and convenient options that saves time and food waste.”

Norrie will share some of his own tips on social media and in press outreach, on how shoppers can incorporate more fruit into their diet and how canned fruit can play a significant and convenient role in doing so.

“As an ongoing partner of the LTA, Del Monte has been a supporter of British tennis for many years and we are particularly proud to be working with Cameron Norrie this year,” said Martin Selley, Del Monte’s UK MD.
