Fresh pasta brand Dell’Ugo has joined forces with Waitrose to bring authentic Italian street food to the supermarket.
Arancini – handmade balls of traditional Italian risotto coated in breadcrumbs – launch in Waitrose nationwide today (12 June) in two variants: beef Bolognese and pea, and tomato and mozzarella.
“We wanted to bring something exciting, new and authentically Italian to the chilled snack category,” said Helena Jevons, head of marketing at brand owner Ugo Foods. “There is nothing like this currently out there.”
The arancini come in packs of six with an introductory price of £2.24 (rsp: £2.99) and will be available through Ocado from July.
