Manish Dhamecha has been given the task of heading up the newly created wholesale council for the Today's Group, the wholesale arm of Nisa-Today's.
A director of north London-based cash & carry group Dhamecha Foods, he was elected to the position of chairman at the recent Today's Group conference in Prague.
The council, which replaces the former Today's Group board, will comprise a mixture of wholesale members and Nisa-Today's executives. The buying group's representatives are Today's Group MD Rodney Hunt, trading director Nick Barker, senior trading controller John Baines, as well as Nisa-Today's chief executive Neil Turton and CFO John Schofield.
Rodney Hunt said the council was designed to give members a greater say in the running of the wholesale arm in the same way that Nisa had restructured the retail arm with the Nisa Retail council. There will be a total of four wholesale members on the council.
