UK-based drinks giant Diageo has signed up management consultants Accenture to help ramp up its "business effectiveness and efficiency".
Diageo - with brands such as Smirnoff vodka, Guinness stout, Johnnie Walker whisky and Baileys liqueur - said Accenture would develop its enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems SAP and Ariba on a global basis.
Accenture said: "With new ERP systems, Diageo will be able to focus on its premium brand portfolio and compete in a market that demands speed and efficiency."
