The salad dressings will launch into Tesco on 28 April

Table sauce startup Dr Will’s is to launch a duo of salad dressings into Tesco as it targets profitability.

Chipotle Ranch and Green Goddess were made with natural ingredients and “minimally processed”, Dr Will’s said.

They responded to shoppers’ growing demand for “clean label” and “better-for-you” options, it added.

Both dressings are set to launch into Tesco on 28 April (rsp: £3.50/245g). They will launch DTC via Dr Will’s’ webstore at the end of April.

“Our mission has always been to make food better, without the junk,” said Dr Will’s co-founder Will Breakey.

“These two new dressings are a game-changer for anyone looking to enjoy bold, innovative flavours with simple, real ingredients.

“We’re thrilled to bring them to Tesco shoppers across the UK.”

Dr Will’s was one of 10 “innovative and purpose-led suppliers” to be announced as part of Co-op’s new Apiary Accelerator programme in September.

The scheme is intended to support suppliers with brand development, offering participants access to learning opportunities such as masterclasses and mentor networking and category buyer access and support.

It comes as Dr Will’s is aiming to become profitable in the next 12 months as the business eyes further UK listings, buoyed by shoppers’ growing concerns about ultra-processed foods.

“In the last two to three years, we’ve seen lots of traction,” Dr Will’s co-founder and CEO Liam White told Just Food last month.

Health is really becoming mainstream, and that’s definitely helping us. We’ve grown about 80% year on year from when we started.”
