An entrepreneur who won over two Dragons is rolling out a range of free-from ready meals.
Kirsty Henshaw, who launched a free-from dessert range in 2009, has developed the Kirsty’s Freedom range of seven meals, which are free from lactose, gluten, soya, eggs, nuts and artificial flavours, colours and sweeteners.
The meals, which roll out to Budgens in March, include Vegetarian Thai Curry with Brown Rice, Sausage with Onion Gravy and Carrot, Sweet Potato & Potato Mash, and Chicken Tikka Masala with Brown Rice (all rsp: £2.99).
Henshaw, who secured backing from Peter Jones and Duncan Bannatyne, is discussing further listings with other retailers.
