Eatplanted has secured its first major UK national retailer listing, via Morrisons.
The European plant-based brand’s range, consisting of three SKUs, will be available to purchase across stores nationwide from 26 December. Eatplanted first entered the UK market at the turn of the year through its own website and in selected restaurants.
The three SKUs include: Eatplanted Chicken Original (160g), Eatplanted Kebab Original (160g) and Eatplanted Pulled BBQ (160g), which will be launched under a two for £5 promotion.
The products are made with proteins from peas, sunflowers and oats, and contain no additives while being high in fibre and amino acids.
“We’re delighted to have secured our first major retail listing and are pleased to feature in Morrisons,” said Matt Done, UK country manager. “We’re seeing that consumers are becoming more open to meat alternatives and conscious food choices and a boom in meat-free eating is expected for 2023, so this listing is good timing.”
Eatplanted’s products will be featured in the butchery section of Morrisons stores, on the gondola end.
Its products are also available at restaurants and major retailers across Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France and Italy.
