Culina-owned contract packer IPS has joined forces with logistics giant Eddie Stobart to fulfil the packing requirements of Nestle for a range of its products.
The new joint-venture will carry out a series of services for Nestle, including flow wrapping, shrink wrapping, cartoning and the creation of display units from a dedicated contract packing facility at Stobart’s warehouse in Bardon, Leicestershire – from where Nestle products are already distributed.
The operation will “complement other packing solutions already provided to Nestle by IPS at its York and Featherstone sites”, said IPS MD Andrew Dawson.
IPS was acquired by food and drink logistics operator Culina Group last year, and has since seen its nationwide network grow to nine sites, including a brand new facility that opened earlier this month in Dudley, West Midlands.
“The acquisition by Culina has given us a fantastic foundation and allowed us to make substantial capital investment, enabling us to expand our network and purchase market-leading, automated machinery,” added Dawson.
