Asda has continued the shake-up of its commercial team under its new senior management, with the departure of its VP of edible grocery Tracy Ford.
Ford, who has been at the supermarket for more than 24 years, has left after it decided to combine the role with the VP non-edible grocery role. Asda has yet to announce who will hold that position.
She became head of edible grocery in 2019, having previously been VP of commercial execution.
Ford started at Asda as a category director in beers, wines and spirits.
Her departure comes weeks after chief merchandising officer Derek Lawlor confirmed he was leaving the business after six years, coinciding with the appointment of Nisa CEO Ken Towle as retail director.
Kris Comerford is due to join Asda as chief commercial officer, food, in the summer, having previously held the position of UK commercial director, packaged foods, fuel and tobacco at Tesco.
The VP non-edible position has been vacant since Sonal Dash left the business last year
An Asda spokesman said: “We’ve been looking at the structure of the commercial leadership team for a while and as part of this we have decided to combine the roles of VP edible grocery and VP non-edible grocery into one role of VP ambient.”
