EG On The Move has opened its 150th petrol station as it expands its forecourt presence across the UK.
The 24-hour service station, located on the A15 outside Lincoln, features a forecourt with four fuel pump islands, a car wash, and dedicated area for HGVs to refill tanks.
Commuters can also enjoy a range of food and drink as part of the convenience store offer, supplied by Spar, covering fruit and veg, soft drinks, meal deals, frozen and ambient.
There is also a bakery concession from Delice de France on site, along with a Subway and Starbucks, as EG On The Move broadens its foodservice proposition.
The 150th store opening marks its expansion progress, with plans to open between 400 to 500 sites across the UK in the next five years, Zuber Issa told The Grocer in February.
“We’re excited to announce the opening of our 150th petrol station, a proud moment in our journey of continuous growth and service excellence,” the forecourt retailer said in a LinkedIn post, announcing the launch.
“This milestone reflects the dedication of our incredible team and our ongoing commitment to expanding convenient, high-quality services across the UK. Thank you to everyone who’s helped drive this journey forward. Here’s to the next 150.”
The latest store comes as EG On The Move kickstarted a supply deal trial with Iceland earlier this year, revealed exclusively by The Grocer.
It will see a dedicated Iceland frozen food range introduced into 10 EG On The Move sites, which started with two stores earlier this month in Barnstaple and Rotherham.
Iceland branding will be featured on both fascias and in-store displays, with each location offering a tailored number of freezer cabinets based on available space.
The exact range on offer will vary by site, but Iceland said customers can expect a “convenient selection” of its top-selling products and exclusive brands, including Harry Ramsden’s, TGI Fridays, Greggs, and Cathedral City.
EG On The Move also continues to work with Co-op under a trial that was signed off by the companies last summer. The agreement saw seven newly built Co-op franchise stores open across the UK, including in Sussex, Buckinghamshire and Scotland.
Co-op and EG On The Move said there was potential to expand their contract with more stores in the future.
