Fairy sponges, scourers and clothes licensed distributor EGL Homecare says its latest acquisition makes it the UK's biggest washing-up brand. The own label and branded manufacturer has bought the assets of the John Cotton Abrasives division from John Cotton Group, which will be run as a standalone business under its current management team. EGL md Terry Dearlove said: "We see this acquisition as a key step in our overall strategy of strengthening the group's position as a specialist in the consumer market for domestic cleaning and personal care products." On top of this, further growth is expected from both existing and new customers as a direct result of investment plans that are in place to improve product quality and increase production capacity." {{NEWS }}
