Waitrose has launched an educational web site to give its customers a greater insight into a vegetable that is often overlooked.
John Foley, head of buying for fruit, vegetables and horticulture, said the site was intended to provide information and advice. "It offers an insight into Britain's best loved vegetable. There's something for everyone, from food technology students to those who just love cooking and eating potatoes."
The site, www.waitrose.com/potatoes, was launched in partnership with potato supplier Solanum.
