Chocolate maker Elizabeth Shaw has revealed that it is closing its factory in Bristol, affecting 160 jobs.
Elizabeth Shaw said that the factory, which is 105 years old, was closing because it was too old, had out-dated and inefficient production facilities and was no longer flexible for manufacturing in the 21st century.
Production would cease in Autumn 2006 and some of the staff would be transferred within the company, it added.
