Swiss dairy giant Emmi has hailed 2012 its most successful year to date for its Caffè Latte, having sold 100 million cups worldwide.

Launched in 2004, sales of the RTD coffee drink had increased by an average of 10% each year, culminating in last year’s “record breaking” sales, the company said.

A third of sales came from Emmi’s mother country, Switzerland, and the remainder were sales from within other European countries.
