Euro Garages has struck a £75,000 deal for a Gloucester forecourt as it continues to strengthen its grip on the market.
The company bought the forecourt from Jamshad Karupamveetil, who has owned Esso-branded Churcham Garage on the A40 since 2011.
Euro Garages, whose partner brands include Starbucks, Greggs and Burger King, has since reopened the filling station following a rebrand of the canopy and shop.
“We are delighted to add Churcham Garage to our growing portfolio and are keen to acquire more sites in 2017 as part of our carefully planned expansion,” said Euro Garages co-owner Zuber Issa.
“Churcham Garage is in a great location on the A40 close to Gloucester, filling the gap between our sites at Ross-on-Wye and Tuffley, Gloucester.”
It follows a number of recent acquisitions by the £1.3bn-valued forecourt operator, including the former High Noon Stores petrol stations, and 70 Little Chef sites from Kuwaiti-owned Kout Food Group for an undisclosed sum in January.
The deal takes its portfolio to more than 430 properties as it continues with growth plans following its merger with European Forecourt Retail Group in October 2016.
Dave Morris, senior agent at Christie & Co, oversaw the deal. “With the potential to introduce hot food to the site, it fits well with Euro Garages’ model,” he said.
