Consignia is continuing to relax its hardline rules on ATMs at sub post offices with the addition of self-fill cash point provider Euronet to its roster of nominated suppliers. The European self-fill ATM provider now has right of refusal on sites rejected by preferred supplier Alliance and Leicester and its third party convenience ATM specialist TRM. It will target 130 POs. Euronet UK md Ron Del Nevo said: "Euronet offers a low-cost solution enabling ATMs to be located in rural and far-flung areas where there have been no traditional banking facilities. "We want to install 15,000 ATMs in places like c-stores, cinemas and in post office branches this year." Euronet has already installed its merchant-fill cashpoints in 80 PO branches in a previous short-term contract with Alliance and Leicester, charging a convenience fee of £1.25 per withdrawal. TRM, which became a nominated supplier last December, also charges a convenience fee of £1.25 a transaction. It has some 250 machines in operation at post offices, and plans to roll out around 250 a month this year. The post office's other nominated cashpoint suppliers are Nationwide, HBOS and Hanco. {{NEWS }}
