In what must rank as one of the year’s most innovative examples of brand stretching, French mineral water brand Evian has lent its name to a new 13-strong skincare range.
The Evian Affinity range has been developed by Johnson & Johnson and all products contain Evian mineral water, which, according to J& J’s research and development group manager Marie-Pierre Soyer, has a similar composition
to the water found naturally in the body.
The range of moisturisers, toners and cleansers are marketed under three sub-brands: Original, Remineralising and Oxygenating. Prices range from £3.99 for Original Cleansing Wipes 25s to £7.49 for a 75ml tube of Oxygenating Moisturiser,
The Affinity range will initially be available nationwide in Boots and Superdrug followed by the major multiples.
J&J said the partnership echoed the affinity between water and skincare.
