Former Sainsbury buyer Nayla Chohan has been appointed to Blueheath’s buying department as part of the wholesaler’s expansion programme.
Chohan will be responsible for buying crisps and snacks, grocery, non-food and drop-shipment. Previously, she was a buyer for salads and deli products at Sainsbury and prior to that was an assistant buyer for two years with Superdrug.
Last week Blueheath posted a 12% rise in sales in the first half and announced four new contracts.
The company said Chohan’s appointment was part of a plan to explore new business areas.
