Fab, the iconic ice cream brand of the 1960 and 70s, is to get its first new variant, a limited edition called Fab It's Orange.
The 36-year-old stalwart's new incarnation combines orange water ice covered in milk chocolate and sprinkled with fizzy hundreds and thousands' sugar strands.
Produced by Richmond Ice Cream, Fab It's Orange is rolling out to Tesco stores in an exclusive deal for a limited period.
The brand has seen little advertising support in its lifespan. The last activity, in 1992, saw comedians Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse as DJ parodies Smashie and Nicey.
Nevertheless, Richmond category marketing manager Matthew Wilson said Fab was still one of the company's best-selling products. "We are confident that Fab It's Orange will further increase its popularity," he added.
