Baked goods supplier Fabulous Bakin’ Boys has been acquired by Dutch business Daelmans Group.
Fabulous Bakin’ Boys, is based in Witney, Oxfordshire, and makes baked goods for the grocery sector including flapjacks, muffins and cupcakes. The new owners will retain the 100 staff employed by the business.
Daelmans produces a range of cakes and pastries including stroopwafels (caramel waffles), coconut pastry, caramel biscuits, puff pastries, and shortcake for private label and under the Daelmans and De Molen’s Banket brands.
The company said the acquisition would help the group realise its growth ambitions in Europe.
“The sale of the Fabulous Bakin’ Boys business to Daelmans Group will ensure that opportunities in ambient cakes and bakery snacks market can be realised using our combined expertise and product offering,” said Daelmans Group general manager Thijmen Peter de With.
“Fabulous Bakin’ Boys has great potential and will benefit from the investment and re-invigoration that an established bakery company such as Daelmans Group can provide.”
