Coca-Cola is extending its Fanta brand with a new flavour  Fruit Twist. The peach, passionfruit and orange-flavoured pop hits shelves this month and follows the launch of Fanta Icy Lemon almost exactly a year to the day. The soft drinks giant insists Fruit Twist's predecessor has "massively outperformed all targets" in its first 12 months on sale, claiming that the extra revenue has been incremental to the Fanta brand's flagship Orange flavour. However, Fanta still has some way to go if it is to surpass the enduring success of Britvic's Tango. The Grocer's recent Top Products Survey showed sales of Tango in multiple grocers topped £38m in the year to October, although Fanta, at just over £33m, experienced greater growth, up 34%. Fruit Twist will be supported by a national campaign in spring. {{P&P }}
