The UK's first permanent farmers' market is to open in a railway shed in Canterbury next month.
Twenty three stalls manned by producers from around Kent will trade from the site six days a week, from Tuesday to Sunday.
Locally produced meat, fish, dairy products, vegetables and flowers and drinks will be on sale.
Kent NFU chairman Maggie Berry said: "I'm delighted that Kent should be at the forefront of such an exciting and innovative development."
A spokeswoman from the NFU said other farmers' markets around the country were likely to follow suit.
