Waitrose David Felwick is to be the next chairman of the British Retail Consortium. He becomes chairman designate on November 27 and takes over as chairman from Sir David Sieff in March 2002 when Sir David retires. Felwick's term of office at the BRC will coincide with him becoming deputy chairman of the John Lewis Partnership. BRC director general Bill Moyes said: "David brings with him a wealth of experience of the retail sector. The John Lewis Partnership covers the whole spectrum of retailing, which gives David an ideal platform from which to lead the BRC in tackling the many challenges we face." {{NEWS }}
