Soft drinks and mixer brand Fentimans is to introduce a new range of still drinks enriched with vitamins and minerals.
News of the launch came to light after the brand applied to register the phrase “Fentimans Botanical Boost” with the Intellectual Property Office.
The mark applied for covers a host of non-alcoholic drinks categories including: soft drinks containing herbs and fruit, functional water-based beverages, energy drinks and non-alcoholic drinks enriched with vitamins and mineral salts.
Approached by The Grocer, Fentimans confirmed it was launching Fentimans Botanical Boost.
“Fentimans has launched a functional still soft drink, that uses a combination of vitamins and minerals to support your body’s metabolism and digestion,” a spokesman for the brand said. “It goes great with food and comes in three flavours – Cherry, Lemon and Apple.
“Like all Fentimans soft drinks, it is crafted using the seven-day botanical brewing process, which gives each of our drinks a distinct depth of flavour. The drink is targeted at the health drink aisle.”
Fentimans declined to give further detail about when or where the products would be sold.
It rolled out a three-strong range of functional drinks fortified with calcium, zinc and vitamin B6 under the ‘Good & Fruity’ moniker in February 2022.
It was not clear if the Good & Fruity range – which comprises Cherry & Blood Orange, Apple & Elderflower and Lemon & Pink Ginger flavours – would continue once Botanical Boost had rolled out.
The wider Fentimans range comprises tonics, mixers, soft drinks and non-alcoholic cocktails.
