Fetzer is the latest wine brand to be supported by major advertising. Its owner Brown Forman is planning a £700,000 pan European campaign designed to make the brand the leading Californian wine in Europe. The ads will go in the national press ­ mainly in travel supplements ­ and in quality consumer magazines. European marketing director Simon Legge said: "The Fetzer brand has been growing steadily. With current levels of distribution, consumer advertising is the next logical step to build our franchise." The company is adding two premium varietals to its range, a Chardonnay/Viognier and a Zinfandel/Shiraz which should be in store by May. {{DRINKS }}
