Soft drinks brand Firefly has teamed up with a celebrated ‘mixologist’ to launch a limited-edition botanical non-alcoholic drink.
Called Superfly, the drink was devised by cocktail expert Ryan Chetiyawardana – aka Mr Lyan – and combines aronia berries, grapefruit and redcurrant, with botanicals of cascara, wormwood, angelica, kola nut and green coffee.
It will launch in Selfridges next month and in Ocado in May with an rsp of £1.99/330ml.
“With the current craft spirit trend spilling over into soft drinks, now is the perfect time to partner with one of the world’s most experienced and influential mixologists,” said Sarah Brooks, Firefly’s head of marketing.
Chetiyawardana described the collaboration as “tremendously exciting”.
“I’ve always loved looking at new ways of bringing people together, and working with Firefly has allowed me to explore botanical ideas without the addition of alcohol for an exciting, adult drink,” he said.
