First Drinks has unveiled Grant’s Scotch Whisky and Cola the whisky brand’s first RTD product.

The 6.6% abv 250ml canned drink is rolling out this month (rsp: £2) and is set to be joined imminently by a Grant’s and ginger variant.

“RTDs are the fastest-growing category in the UK off-trade with RTD cans up 48% so we felt this was a really important area,” said Grant’s marketing controller James Stocker.

Sales of the Grant’s brand have risen 0.8% year-on-year to £77m [Nielsen, 52w/e 14 May 2011].
