Off licence operator First Quench has plundered talent from Somerfield, Wal-Mart and M&S to boost its senior management team.
Robert Plummer joins as trading director beer/cider, tobacco and minerals. He joins from Somerfield where he was trading director and had held buying, trading and procurement roles for 14 years.
Paul Kimberley will join from M&S in October as central retail operations director. He is currently M&S divisional executive for the east of England. Kimberley has been head of M&S retail operations, UK, and regional director for Brooks Brothers in the US.
Russell Burgess becomes trading director, wines and spirits. He joins from Wal-Mart, Germany, where he was business unit director for drinks and dry goods.
. Burgess has held roles with Safeway and Asda, including senior category manager for wines and spirits.
First Quench CE David Williams said: "These three senior appointments add further talented professionals to the already strong team that has been put together at First Quench. It is an exciting time as our business develops itself as a significant force in the retailing of branded beverages."
