The supply of all varieties of fish increased significantly after a late run of good landings last week.
The ensuing rollercoaster ride saw prices drop, quickly followed by a return to shortage of supplies which helped bring prices back up again.
Hull has had a good quantity of cod and haddock. Across the water in Grimsby, however, the situation was tight but typical for this time of year. This market is getting ever decreasing levels of fish from Scotland and has put this down to new quotas already hitting local UK markets.
Peterhead has had a mixed week but is still struggling to increase tonnage.
Plymouth has also had a difficult week but is expecting a good end to the week as weather conditions clear and prices improve.
